Subscriptions and Membership

Susquehanna Township EMS, Inc. is a private, non-profit ambulance service. While we bill for our services, the amounts Medicare, Medicaid and the various insurance carriers reimburse do not cover our costs of responding. We are grateful to the Commissioners of Susquehanna Township for the support they provide us in this vital work. However, we are not part of any government and must be largely self-supporting. To offset the difference between our income and our actual costs of providing the services we accept charitable donations under Pennsylvania statutes and federal IRS code §501(c)(3).

In addition, we offer the residents our primary service areas (Susquehanna Township, Penbrook Borough and Paxtang Borough) the opportunity of an annual subscription.  Not only does the subscription help greatly in guaranteeing that we will continue to be here, but, it may substantially reduce your out-of-pocket liability if Medicare or your insurance carrier don't cover the full charges of your service.

Sorry - we can't offer subscriptions to anyone who lives outside of our primary services area. We do, however, have reciprocal agreements with some neighboring services in the event they provide service in our area.

Our subscription rates are $35 for an individual and $50 for a family and currently include both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Services.
