Susquehanna Township EMS, Inc. is a private, non-profit (501c3) ambulance service. While we bill for our services, the amounts Medicare, Medicaid and the various insurance carriers reimburse do not cover our costs of responding. We are grateful to the local governments of the municipalities we serve for the support they provide us in this vital work. However, we are not part of any government and must be largely self-supporting. To offset the difference between our income and our actual costs of providing the services we accept charitable donations under Pennsylvania statutes and federal IRS code §501(c)(3).
